THREE DOGS?!

Yes, we have three dogs. Kona, a Bernadoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle mix) just turned 3 months old a few days ago and is the newest addition. She has grown so much and life seems a little back to normal now, although the first month had its ups and downs. I thought this would be a good post to write about since recently some open shoppers knew we had a new puppy, but didn't realize it was one of three! And yes, it is as crazy as it sounds but we like it that way!

I (Dan) resisted a third dog for the longest time. I knew it would be more work, more cleanup, more training, more accidents, more stress, more everything. I kept pushing it off and off and off until finally I relented. When you have two kids and pretty much a third (Crystal) begging for a dog, you can only hold out for so long. So we got a third one.

And let me tell you. Every single one of my worries came true. It was more of everything. But it was also more of things that I loved already about our dogs. More snuggles, more cuddling, more kisses, more happy tails, more playfulness, more laughter, more everything. Kona has been a wonderful addition to the Albrent family. She has provided a spunk to both of our older dogs Maddy (Golden Retriever - 10) and Bucky (Siberian Husky - 11) and as much as I think they sometimes are annoyed, I think they like having another member of the pack around. One is a little less enthused than the other though, can you tell?

Life is short and in the Albrent house, we welcome the craziness. Our family feels more complete with her in it.
